In a 10 year search for a suitable location for a MAHA production facility in the USA the decisi- on finally fell for a piece of property in Pinckard, a small city near Dothan, Alabama. The non-descript location, surrounded by peanut and cotton farms, offered the most interesting incentives to build there. In addition to reasonably priced land, tax rebates incentives and subsidies for site development, the proximity to the produc- tion facilities of various vehicle manufacturers located close by tipped the scale in the decision to choose Alabama. (e.g. Mercedes Benz in Tusca- loosa, Honda, Fiat,....). A production hall with 93,000 square ft. was built on an area of about 100 acres.
