1977 - 1978 1978 MAHA - Forerunner Function with the Use of Strain Gauge Measurement Technology Establishment of the MAHA GmbH & Co. KG The original title Maschinenbau OHG Halden- wang was converted in 1978 to a GmbH & Co. KG. MAHA brake tester at the bus maintenance workshop in the Kempten Municipal Public Transport Center. The Maschinenbau Haldenwang company in Hal- denwang (Allgäu) has been building roller brake testers for about 10 years now and in this rela- tively short time period has made quite a name for itself and created a recognizable brand name. Winfried Rauch, and his partner Josef Schilling, who divide up all the tasks of managing director, shop foreman, press and advertising manager, design engineer and business director between themselves, are particularly proud that today the “SUN“ emblem is attached to a large number of testers directly at the factory and exported to other countries. They impressively prove that business can be conducted with a minimum of extra bag- gage. A newly developed measurement system is being introduced in the coming days which can rightly claim to be astoundingly simple yet start- lingly accurate.
